A new interview with the vampire teaser trailer has been released

AMC+ released a new trailer for Interview with the vampiree. The new teaser, which was dropped on Twitter on Wednesday, is only about 30 seconds long, but it gives us a fresh look at Louis de Pointe du Lac, the titular vampire being interviewed, played by Jacob Anderson. A previous teaser gave us our first look at Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), but this new teaser has a few other surprises in store for fans of Anne Rice’s novel. You can check out the joke for yourself below.

In the teaser, we get a first look at Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy, the journalist who interviewed Lewis, who noted that the time is 10:08 a.m. and the date is June 14, 2022. Since vampires and daylight aren’t really, the timing of the interview is as intriguing as Molloy, who in Vampire Chronicles The books themselves turned into a vampire in his thirties.

The details in the teaser seem to indicate not only a change in the time frame in terms of the story from the book but some other details as well. This is in line with what the series’ executive producer Mark Johnson said previously about this adaptation, that they went to great lengths to support Rice’s storytelling legacy while also working to attract more modern audiences.

“Developing this series carries great pressure and responsibility,” Johnson said. “What Anne Rice has created and what amazes her fans with compels us to take this transformation from book to television with a great deal of responsibility. It is imperative that we do not disappoint her fans however we need to make sure that this story sings these characters out for a modern audience.”

He added, “We hope that this series will force fans of Anne Rice to rediscover her work. We also hope that those viewers who have never read Anne Rice’s novel will go to the library, eager to understand what all the fuss is about.”

Interview with the vampire It’s not the only Rice novel that has been adapted by AMC, either. The network is also adapting the Rice network Life of a Wizard in Mayfair He also wrote and recently cast Alexandra Daddario as the lead in the series. Sadly, Rice passed away in December of last year before either series could air.

In addition to Reed and Anderson, Interview with the vampire It stars Billy Bass as the vampire baby Claudia. Fans will get a better look at the upcoming series, which is expected to debut this fall, at San Diego Comic-Con next week where the full trailer for the series is set to premiere.
